Shocked is such a strong word. The truly unexpected ones were: Chin, for showing up at my birthday blow-out, Justine, because I honestly felt that she had forgotten, and Patrick, because frankly, we’re total strangers to one another.

Happy Birthday
You wake up, another year is gone: you’re twenty-one.
Because as of writing this, there’s only ten minutes left of my birthday, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of the wonderful people who made today worth remembering. June 2, 2012 will go down in my history as the one birthday I will probably never ever forget, for some reasons I will not disclose. Grabe talaga. Haha!
Even if I spent most of today “working,” it’s all worth it because I’m with awesome people, and I’ve been receiving greets from people who (I’d like to believe) actually remembered that today’s my birthday, instead of relying on a Facebook notification. Yes, I purposefully hid my birthday info just to see who really will remember. It’s not quite the same as seeing a hundred++ notifications, but it feels, at least to me, that these are really the heartfelt ones. I know, ang drama ko.
Even people who I don’t even know at all and those I wouldn’t expect to send greetings greeted, which feels nice (shout-out to @thehumannumber) because it kinda feels nice when a total stranger sends well-wishes your way. LOL but seriously, iba yung feeling na you get messages like these from followers on a site where these followers may or may not be people you know personally :)
Nakakatuwa lang isipin na, despite all my flaws and shortcomings, despite how I treat most everyone around me as for granted, there are still people who really will stick by my side. I feel so blessed and thankful that I have probably the most awesome friends in the world. Even if pinagmukha nyo akong tanga sa Central. Haha!
Seriously, because it’s already like 12:01AM and I’m way past my “before-my-birthday-ends” deadline for this blogpost,
from the bottom of my (nonexistent) heart, thank you for making my twenty-first birthday extra special. I won’t ever forget this, guys and gals. You all mean the world to me :) Thank you.
